Job Summary: The Cafeteria Attendant works within the Cafeteria team to create a pleasant and convenient dining experience at Red Roof Campus, and support corporate events when needed.
Principal Duties:Prepare food for breakfast and lunch service, as well as catering functionsPerform cash register duty and maintain financial accountability for the register’s contents.Maintain inventory at cafeteria through various processes, order items as needed, verify receipt of items, and stock inventory upon arrival.Support departmental and corporate events when needed, to include, buffet set up and maintenance. Responsible for morning preparation of the servery and breakdown of cafeteria and catering events.Operate and perform basic daily maintenance and clean all servery equipment in accordance with the National Restaurant Association’s rules, training, and safety guidelines.Assist Catering Lead in daily catering support including departmental and corporate events to include buffet set up and maintenance.Assist other workstations and teammates as neededKeep a clean and organized workspace in accordance with Wawa Quality Assurance standardsAssist Mail Center and Front Desk on occasion, as help is neededPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor and adapt as needed.Essential Functions:
Ability to work well individually, as well as, in a team environment Strong communication and customer service skills Must wear uniform as assigned, including non-slip shoes, hat or hairnetsAbility to learn FSSA process and procedures and demonstrate on a daily basisOvertime required at timesAbility to multi-task in fast paced environmentAbility to learn and demonstrate all Wawa Safety and Quality Assurance processes and procedures.Must be able to perform the following physical behaviors repetitively throughout a shift: standing, walking, handling, reaching horizontally and grasping firmly Must be able to perform the following physical behaviors frequently throughout a shift: reaching above the shoulder, reaching below the waist, pushing buttons, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling and pushingMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repetitivelyMust be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs occasionally with assistance from teamMust be able to push up to 100 lbs frequentlyBasic Qualifications:
