Cafeteria Monitor (Sidway Lunch) Grand Island CSD 1100 Ransom Road Grand Island , NY 14072 Classified - Position - School Monitor - non-competitive Job Number 3300052919 Start Date Open Date 07/30/2025 Closing Date 08/13/2025 Anticipated Employment Date: September 4, 2025 Anticipated Work Location/Hours: Charlotte Sidway Elementary School Student Attendance Days - 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Salary: $20.25/hr per SRP Contract Duties: + Circulate among students to supervise behavior and attend to students' needs such as obtaining lunch, opening containers, providing utensils and help with washing hands. + Maintain allergen free spaces. + Maintain tables and floor in order to assure a safe, healthy and attractive environment. + Establish & maintain a positive culture for students. + Other duties as assigned by principals. + Follow directions from supervisors. Minimum Qualifications: + High School Diploma or four (4) years of experience in the care and supervision of children. + Ability to maintain composure in a busy environment + Commitment to reliability and punctuality. + Must enjoy working with elementary school aged children. + Able to walk and stand for approximately 2 hours. Qualifications Desired: + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Familiar with and/or can support positive behavioral interventions and support procedures for the cafeteria.
