The Café Attendant provides excellent customer service and food and beverage preparation for the “Commons” restaurant within the Sonesta Select hotel.

Essential Job Functions include:   

Key Job FunctionsPrepare specialty beverages according to Starbucks and Sonesta standardsPrepare a la carte food according to Sonesta standardsOperate POS cash register according to Sonesta standardsDeliver orders to tables according to Sonesta standardsMaintain overall cleanliness and sanitation of work area and seating areaProvide excellent service to our clienteleParticipate in departmental meetings

Qualifications and Skills

A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency.

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to be flexible and work both the front of house and the café kitchenTrack record of delivering exceptional guest or client experienceAppropriate professional appearance and demeanorExperience in coffee shop environments strongly desiredAbility to communicate, both verbally and written, effectively with guests, vendors, and co-workersGo Beyond @SonestaHotelsWHO WE ARE?
