Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesOur Clean Mobility Division is looking for a CAE Specialist for its tech center in Columbus, IN. The CAE Specialist is responsible for sub-system and component-level development and validation to ensure vehicle-level overall architecture meets durability requirement under all vehicle operating conditions.
This job will require you to:
▪ Working with Product Specialist, Residents and PDL, coordinate and conduct CAE analyses, include structural, thermal, NVH analysis
▪ Conduct and coordinate multiple projects with CAE analysis, design, manufacturing, and testing
▪ Interface with customers and suppliers
▪ Assist in maintaining analysis group activities by mentoring, coaching, and training employees, facilitate the deployment of Analysis Led Design (ALD)
▪ Drive better correlation between analytical and physical test, and achieve more virtual validations
▪ Assist in communicating analysis expectations by planning, monitoring, and appraising analysis results to internal/external customers and drive the design changes
▪ Participate in DVP&R meetings. Coordinate and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. Maintain quality service by enforcing quality standards and maintaining analysis accuracy where possible. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending professional conferences, reviewing professional publications, and benchmarking state of the art practices. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related activities as needed.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
▪ 3+ years of CAE analysis experience
▪ Ability to use Hypermesh, Nastran, Abaqus, and nCode preferred
▪ Proficient oral & written communication skills, effective problem solving, and entrepreneurial work
▪ Ability to work with remote teams
▪ Solid understanding and interest in engineering and ability to learn industry standard hardware and software
▪ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program; Master’s or PhD preferred
