Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of survey plats and maps, including boundary surveys, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, and utility route surveys. These tasks must meet the requirements of various agencies such as VDOT, USACE, and NAVFAC. Work assignments may vary based on the office's needs and will be communicated by the office manager. Responsibilities will also encompass individual project management, courthouse research, processing data collected by survey crews, preparation of CAD files, construction staking calculations, and occasional field work.
Work Environment
The position involves worksharing, which may entail temporary assignments to other offices’ projects, potentially requiring travel. The candidate should be willing and able to travel throughout Virginia and surrounding states, and work overtime as needed. Offices are located in Virginia, MD, and FL. The candidate will enjoy free vision, dental, and life insurance, with 80% of health care insurance covered. There is a $900 contribution to HSA and a 4% 401k match.

Minimum of 5 years of surveying-related experience.Satisfactory completion of a Survey/CAD-related degree from an accredited institution may substitute for two years of required experience.Proficient in using Carlson and AutoCAD Civil 3D.Experience or exposure to MicroStation with GeoPak and/or OpenRoads.Ability to work with minimal supervision to complete projects with demanding scopes and schedules.Contact Me!
