We are currently seeking a CAD Drafter to join our Boart Longyear team in Salt Lake City, Utah. The CAD Drafter will work on drilling equipment projects in the mining and water well industry. The individual in this role will have responsibilities in several focus areas from new concept development through legacy drawing management.

Responsibilities

Create 3D models and technical drawings with modern CAD softwareExecute design changes and updates with guidance from engineeringMaintain and revise legacy drawings and documentationParticipate in multidisciplinary design and build projectsSupport documentation of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalentHands-on experience with technical drafting and 3D modelingStrong verbal and written communication skillsExceptional attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with heavy equipment design, operation, and maintenanceAbility to interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics and drawingsUnderstanding of machinery safety requirements and industry standards
