Job Title: CAD Designer
Job Description

The CAD Designer will be responsible for developing detailed drawings for piping and tubing assemblies, drafting designs for pressure vessels, designing structural steel frame weldments, producing detailed machine part drawings, and selecting materials and components for assemblies. The role requires collaboration with engineering and sales teams, supporting procurement and manufacturing departments, and communicating with external stakeholders regarding technical documentation.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed drawings for piping and tubing assemblies in compliance with ASME B31.3 standards.Draft designs for pressure vessels in alignment with ASME Section VIII standards.Design structural steel frame weldments for equipment skids and support structures.Produce detailed machine part drawings and technical layouts.Select materials and components for assemblies, and compile associated bills of materials for procurement.Collaborate with internal engineering and sales teams to ensure design output aligns with technical and commercial specifications.Engage with procurement and manufacturing departments to support build and production workflows.Communicate with external stakeholders regarding drawing submissions and technical documentation.Essential SkillsProficiency in CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor 2010 or newer and/or SolidWorks.Experience with AutoCAD 2010 or newer.Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.Understanding of PLM tools, with preference for Product Center.Experience with ERP systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications0–3 years of relevant experience in a technical drafting or design engineering environment.Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.CAD technical school certification or associate degree is preferred.Work Environment

The work environment involves collaborating with various departments including engineering, sales, procurement, and manufacturing. The role requires effective communication with external stakeholders. The position may require working with various software tools such as CAD, PLM, and ERP systems. The typical work attire is business casual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $77000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
