Job Title: Cable Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team, focusing on cable installation and maintenance. This will be at the Meta/ Facebook Data Center in Temple, TX. Candidates must be prepared to work 6am-4:30pm Monday to Saturday, so expect 50-60 hours per week. Pay is $20-25 per hour depending on experience.

ResponsibilitiesPull and install cables through pathways.Assist in running and handling materials efficiently.Utilize hand and power tools effectively.Climb ladders and work comfortably at heights.Layout and install wireways, buss duct, and cable trays.Install switches, receptacles, and other devices.Pull wires and oversee conduit installations.Operate tools and equipment requiring two-handed use, such as cable cutters and hammer drills.Essential SkillsStrong ability to pull cable through pathways and terminate and test copper cables (Cat 5, Cat 6).Experience with fiber optic cable installation.Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents.Knowledge of universal communications color codes.Proficiency with hand and power tools.Valid driver's license.Additional Skills & Qualifications0-4 years of experience in telecom/cable installation preferred.OSHA 10/ Lift Certification.Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The position is based at a Data Center in Temple, TX, part of a 3-year project offering extensive growth opportunities. The work schedule is from 5:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with additional hours on Saturday. Employees must wear ASTM 2413-compliant boots, either steel toe or composite.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
