Our Energy And utilities business is seeking an experienced Cable Jointer to join our team based in Hamilton. Reporting to the Supervisor, you will work across Northern Waikato on the WEL contract.  

You will be responsible for the provision of electrical cable jointing services including equipment repairs and installation of new network equipment on electricity distribution networks

Please note, the role will be initially based in Morrinsville, however the depot will be relocating in July 2025. 

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

EWRB Cable Jointer registration/licence  National Certificate in Electrical Supply NZQF Level 4 or equivalent qualification Current Class 1 driver’s licence (and Class 2 preferred) Sound knowledge of electrical test equipment, systems and procedures Electricity Industry experience  Sound verbal and written communication skills Physical stamina to carry out manual work, often in trying conditions
