Cable Design System Sustainability Specialist

We are looking for a Cable Design System Sustainability Specialist to join our R&D team in our HQ.

Reporting directly to the Cable Design/SAP manager you will act as a support of the new Cable Design program, the new IT platform aimed to become the cable design tool used within Prysmian and replace the current one, well-known but now obsolete Common Analisi System.

The position also includes the management of Sustainability topics mainly related to implementation of specific calculation rules and the management of hazardous substances in cables.

More in details, you will:

Define the specifications of the Cable Design system (the new cable design system for Prysmian) to be developed through the SAP BTP platform and support its implementation.

Enabling the definition of smart solutions in order to make the cable design activity more streamlined and efficient.

Become responsible of the deployment of some special development packages, in particular the formula management and data migration packages. 

Support the execution / roll-out in the plants, according to the plans defined with IT and the Program Team 

Support the implementation of the Sustainability calculation package within the system.  

Contribute to develop services and tools provided by Group Cable Design to local design teams, whether best practices, calculation tools, documents, and manuals

Maintain the database and enhance the tools developed for producing environmental impact analysis about Prysmian products, with specific reference to Carbon Footprint (CFP) calculation and recyclability indexes, activity to be performed in strict collaboration with Group Health and Safety team.

Manage use of SVHC (Substances of very High Concern) in cable products by maintaining updated the mapping of SVHC in the raw materials with the Regions and completing the development of the system for tracking the hazardous substances in finished cables.

You are the right fit if you have/are: 

Fluent in English

Engineering degree

Up to 3 years of experience

Office package and SAP (ERP) good knowledge

availability to travel 20%

Strong communication & interpersonal skills 

Decision making attitude, critical thinking and problem-solving skills 

Strong teamwork skills, results oriented and ambitious mindset
