About the Job

We’re on the lookout for a passionate Buying Assistant to join our Next Beauty Team! Could that be you? We need someone who can support our buyers and merchandisers, someone who is so organised they can find anything and everything at the drop of a hat and offer ideas for new ways we continue to develop and grow as a team and business. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge in a collaborative team!

You will be…

Accurately inputting data into the Launch Tracker and Range Plan and actioning all required processes throughout SKU set up in a timely manner to achieve brand launch dates Updating Visual doc with all launches and trade driver activity, ensuring key product information and launch dates are available and accurate Responsible for buying office samples, coordinating to meet shoot deadlines Regularly communicating with line managers and Merchandising to highlight risks of new launches, working quickly to resolve these Building effective long term relationships with external suppliers, supporting them to meet critical path deadlines Managing supplier queries, ensuring a prompt response and updating information on internal systems accordingly Analysing trade reports to provide a performance summary and presenting key points to wider team in trade meetings Interpreting results to identify opportunities and mitigate risks, taking prompt action Regularly monitoring online content, updating information as required and communicating required amends to relevant teams Providing Comp Shop summary in advance of weekly trade meetings

Your Talent…

You’ve been a Buying Assistant in fashion or retail before so you know the ropes Experienced in analysing reports and highlighting key data Excellent planning and organisational skills to confidently manage the Critical Path, along with attention to detail Strong team ethos – working together and building excellent relationships and communicating confidently to both peers and suppliers/brands Helpful and approachable with a positive outlook no matter what As well as working in a team you’re self-motivated, passionate and driven when it comes to working solo too When the pressure’s turned up,  you’re resilient and can figure out the best course of action A passion for Next Beauty and a willingness to learn and develop within your role
