Buyers Assistant
Job Title: Buyer's AssistantJob Description

The Buyer's Assistant is responsible for assisting with the processing of orders, inventory adjustments, and procurement of all supplies and services necessary to ensure the timely execution of production and company requirements in a cGMP environment.

ResponsibilitiesProcess timely and appropriate purchases utilizing requisition system and SAP system, maintaining records for purchases with criteria standards for quality, pricing, and material availability.Buy raw materials and manage indirect expenses such as facility machinery, lab reference standards, and R&D supplies, while managing suppliers and negotiating terms and prices that meet internal and external quality standards.Ensure timely arrival of purchased materials and performance of services in accordance with standards of quality, quantities, specifications, and pricing.Function as a liaison to ensure correct invoicing of all purchases and assist with invoice discrepancy resolution as needed.Manage vendor RMAs due to incorrect supply and/or quality issues.Maintain relationships and communications with internal customers.Perform all other duties assigned by the manager.
Essential SkillsExperience in purchasing, administrative support, and SAP ERP.At least 2 years of experience supporting a purchasing department or individual is highly preferred.Strong administrative skills and a background in purchasing.Experience with purchase orders, ERP, SAP, and buyer purchasing.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with ERP/Purchasing Systems, preferably SAP.Strong literacy and numerical skills.Ability to communicate effectively and proactively with suppliers, internal customers, and management.Strong interpersonal skills.Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
Work Environment

This role is onsite and will support a buyer, reporting to a Director of Purchasing/Supply Chain. It offers the opportunity to learn about contract manufacturing purchasing and assist with purchasing in a GMP environment. The position may start as a contract that could potentially turn into a longer-term opportunity.

This is a Contract position based out of Largo, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
