5+ years of experience
Proficiency in business operations systems (SharePoint, MS365 Tools, Dashboards, Smartsheet)
Strong leadership skills to interface with plant personnel, NAML, and cross-functional teams (Purchasing, Finance, GDIA, Lead Logistics Providers)

What you'll do...
Premium/Heavy Haul NA Transportation Buyer
Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for premium shipment management and oversight of our 3PL brokers, including RXO and Ascent, acting as the team lead within Supply Chain.
Serve as the main contact for all specialized moves (heavy haul) with RXO Specialized
Maintain commodity/category strategy within the Commodity Strategy System.
Lead strategic initiatives such as Business Unit Reviews.
Negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Service-Level Agreements (SLAs), KPI metrics, and supplier governance processes to consistently deliver high-quality services.
Demonstrate market competitiveness or identify areas of opportunity through thorough commodity and market analysis
Understand industry trends and data analytical trends to inform sourcing decisions. Seek process improvements and system enhancements.
Interpret and communicate data from various sources including Smartsheet, premium cost dashboard, RXO dashboards, Penske dashboard and Cass.
Oversee all SDD activities for the Transportation group.
Update/maintain Routing Guide for TPO
Ensure Indirect Spend/SPR dashboard is up to date with accurate information from suppliers
Collaborate cross-functionally with MP&L, supporting key shortage meetings daily.
Facilitate communication between bulk carriers, plants, and payables to approve and finalize all accessorial charges. Negotiate and maintain contracts with suppliers/carriers, ensuring that all modifications are effectively communicated to CASS.
