Manage cost, quality, and delivery of commodity over program lifetime.Understand and set cost savings goals annually to identify pure commercial leverage versus design efficiencies and end-to-end supply chain improvements.Work with Product Development to understand latest supply base footprint, financial health ratings, technologies, and trends.Analyze market supply/demand balances and deficit risks.Align on sourcing to component and part requirements.Partner with finance team and controller’s office to update quarterly material indices and forecasted pricing mentorship based on 3rd party data (where applicable).

Conduct regular design reviews with engineering.Sourcing execution lead (RFP events, tactical sourcing, spot buy, contract admin, etc.)POV owner of program-specific sourcing decisions.Support implementation of sourcing strategy for category, delivering a balanced portfolio of material that meets Ford’s capacity, cost, timing, and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) needs.Manage relationships with existing and future switch suppliers.Understand industry and asset specific costs.Work with suppliers to define integration opportunities within the supply chain.Look at all existing processes and challenge if improvements could be made, regardless of scale.Develop material cost roadmaps that deliver corporate objectives and ensure long-term viability.Lead, and bring to closure, all supplier claim activity.Support SCBS buyers on all resourcing, banking, and operations activities.Understand and manage forecasted risks and opportunities for your buy both in the system and offline.Lead the NA switch team as a commodity expert.Formulate and update switch strategy with MP alignment.Understand all switch supplier turnover both tier I and directed tier II.Travel to conduct critical business such as Gemba, supplier visits, cross functional support.
