A Buyer job in Prescott, AZ, is available at Milgard Windows and Doors (MITER Brands™). In this role, you will have a minimum of two years of experience in planning or buying in a high-volume manufacturing facility preferred. We are looking for a motivated professional with the knowledge and ability to deploy APICS, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, and Lean Manufacturing concepts. Raw Material purchasing experience is a must. 

 

The compensation range is $24.00 to $26.00, depending on experience.

Responsibilities Plan and procure materials and services for assigned commodities acting as a representative of Milgard Windows & Doors with our vendor base, balancing keeping adequate supply with maximizing inventory turnsInterprets data relative to material usage to optimize investment in material inventory while maximizing service to the customerMonitors and/or plans for changing inventory requirements through participation in the company Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processEffectively interfaces with suppliers to issue purchase orders on a timely basisExpedites and defers the delivery of purchased items to meet delivery schedulesReviews purchase requisitions for proper authorization levels and other required dataObtains quotes from suppliers and assists in negotiating the most cost-effective solutions for Milgard considering TAC (Total Acquisition Costs)Maintains supply chain-related data and reportsCommunicates with production and receiving staff to monitor the status of incoming goodsDistribute production paperwork to proper production departments.Make any necessary changes or addition to production paperwork and provide details to supervisors.Responsible for entry of weekly information for the purpose of trackingUnderstanding of bill of material (BOM)Utilize BOM create material lists from quotes for purchasing vinyl, parts accessory, glass and forward to Supply Chain to purchase materialCommunicate via e-mail or phone to assure customers are ready for future ordersAssist and compile any information need for auditing the BOM Qualifications High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of two years of experience in planning or buying in a high-volume manufacturing facility preferredKnowledge and ability to deploy APICS, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, and Lean Manufacturing conceptsORACLE experience is a plusAbility to multi-task and effectively motivate team members and others with diverse backgroundsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to use Microsoft OfficeExcellent problem-solving and negotiation skill About Us
