Use Planner Workbench to release and reschedule orders to suppliers.
Generate purchase orders in accordance with procedures and ensure they are received by suppliers.
Confirm receipt and delivery dates, and update acknowledgements, promise dates, and expedite notes in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate data in the system (Oracle), including supplier information, part-supplier relationships, pricing, lead times, transit times, and shipping routes.
Expedite supplier deliveries and materials in transit based on customer urgency and purchase order expiration.
Analyze and address expired open purchase orders through corrective actions.
Supplier Relationship ManagementMaintain effective and professional communication with suppliers to meet requirements.
Support the Global Supply Chain team in price negotiations.
Implement material strategies with suppliers to improve performance.
Handle return of goods to suppliers.
Lead or support procurement-related projects.
Understand supplier performance metrics and supply to issue resolution.
Inventory ManagementActivate new parts in the system for site use.
Support product phase-in and phase-out processes.
Cost Evaluation and SavingsPerform annual updates for standard costs of various part numbers.
Set standard costs for purchased parts.
Establish and complete annual cost reduction and cost containment goals.

You build a plan and outline for various audiences.For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, International Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. At least 1 year of experience in Purchasing or Planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong interpersonal skills in English (written, verbal, and listening). Experience working in a global and cross-functional environment. Proven understanding of MRP and JIT systems. Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Experience using Oracle or a similar ERP system (preferred). General knowledge of International Trade regulations (preferred). Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools. APICS certification is desirable. Strong analytical skills. Effective negotiation abilities. Problem-solving mentality.
