You will be an important contributor to a fast growing business that is a leading manufacturer of life saving innovative reflective solutions that make the world's roadways safer. You will work collaboratively with cross functional teams to conduct demand analysis within the global Reflective Solutions business with a focus on replenishing regional inventory to meet customer demand.  Job Responsibilities : The Buyer/Planner is involved in improving the effectiveness of our value chain, from raw materials to customer delivery. As part of a diverse team supporting our global Reflective Solutions business, you will work cross-functionally to improve processes that positively impact the customer, asset management, and profitability across our global regions. This key role will oversee and manage the plant material flow to support Operations by buying, planning, implementing and monitoring the overall supply chain strategy to maximize efficiency and production for the Reflective sheeting business. This role will have regular cross functional collaboration with Operations, Customer Service, Product Management and R&D. Key Accountabilities: Raw material planning + Drive materials planning for both short term and long term with all suppliers; create and maintain supplier stocking strategies + Support global S&OP planning process and inventory optimization + Participates in both Avery Dennison and supplier sites physical inventory process as needed + Gain insights into industry trends and supplier operations, and share with a broader internal team Order Fulfillment + Issue purchase orders to meet Avery Dennison production requirement and direct customer demand on a daily basis + Monitoring both supplier and Avery Dennison production, stock levels, ensuring timely delivery, and managing inventory effectively Supplier management + Build and maintain good relationships and lasting partnerships with global supply bases + Collaborate with Procurement and Product Manager to maintain supplier pricing tables + Establish and maintain the accuracy of supplier and material master data + Engage suppliers through regular meetings and generate supplier performance scorecard Supply Chain Projects + Initiate or lead efforts in projects on planning optimization, SLOB inventory reduction and service improvement + Support product transitions and cost-out analysis Qualifications Education & Experience: + Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, System Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field + At least 1 year relevant experience of scheduling, planning or order fulfillment in manufacturing environment + APICS or equivalent certifications preferred Knowledge & Skills + Good working knowledge of Supply/Demand Planning, MRP and ERP concepts. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, and negotiation skills. + Excellent analytical skills with problem solving capabilities. + Good working knowledge of Google suite/MS Office Suite, especially in Google sheet/Excel. Additional Information The salary range for this position is $60k- $70k/ year. The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
