Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Buyer Lead to be based in Sacramento, CA.  Are you seeking a role where you will coordinate the day-to-day functions of the buyers’ team, ensuring that departmental goals are achieved, timelines are met, and service excellence is provided in all aspects of work?  In this role you will maintain an individual workload within the team, issuing purchase orders to approved suppliers to acquire materials at the lowest cost consistent with quality, delivery reliability, and urgency of need. The Buyer Lead will also manage supplier relationships, monitor supplier performance and quality, and ensure compliance with negotiated terms and conditions. This position will assist the Supply Chain Management in implementing strategies at a tactical level.  You will play a critical role in ensuring the success of the Supply Chain Management team by driving the team excellence and ensuring the 5Rs in the SCM - Right Part, Right Price, Right Place, Right Time, Right Quantity.  This will be a hybrid position reporting into the office weekly.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Coordinate and control the Supply Chain activities in the area of responsibility, driving team excellence and ensuring cost benefits, delivery reliability, and customer satisfaction.Ensure all ordering aspects in the P2P process, including processing purchase orders with delivery reliability to meet project needs.Apply global innovative techniques and develop tools for data transparency, including KPIs and dashboards.Manage supplier relationships, measure and regular monitoring of supplier metrics, ensure compliance with negotiated terms and conditions.Ensure timely processing of purchase orders to meet project needs and customer requirements.Monitor and manage supplier performance, including delivery reliability and quality.Collaborate cross functionally with various departments, including engineering and project management, to ensure alignment with project needs.Address, resolve and raise at the earliest any issues related to supplier performance, quality, and delivery.Provide guidance and support to the buyer’s team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

To thrive in this role, you have:

High School Diploma/GED.  Minimum of 3 years of experience in Order Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Strong knowledge of the Purchase-2-Pay (P2P) process and supplier management.Expert level experience in SAP (MRP and Ordering)Experience with developing and implementing KPIs and dashboards for performance tracking.Excellently demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple priorities.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, advanced/ expert level in ExcelStrong problem solving, time management, negotiation and customer focus skills.Setting you apart from others would be a Bachelor’s degree in SCM or related field with experience as a lead buyer or team leader.  Experience with Power BI, Tableau and RPA would be a plus.

Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.  Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://www.benefitsquickstart.com/siemens/index.html.  The base salary range for this position in Sacramento CA is $98,300-$115,600.  The actual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending on the budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
