Responsibilities*Successfully manage inventory to ensure the Right Product, Right Quantity, Right Place, and Right Time occurs to meet clinical needsManage multiple services (product lines) of clinical inventory necessary to support OR peri-operative specialtiesAnalyzes data from multiple system interfaces to diligently plan, submit, and track inventory ordersEnsure that supplies are received and inventoried in a timely and effective basis to meet service level targetsSourcing and procure substitutions for backordered/unavailable itemsTrack of backorders and effectively communicates pertinent information to clinical partnersWork closely with clinicians on a regular basis to support daily operations and manage complex conditionsEnsure the integrity of information in the various systems utilized by the supply chain team is correct, and optimally configured to accomplish the supply chain objectivesDirect and collaborate with assigned analyst(s), to reduce inventory variation, improve cost, and improve the service we provideTrack and achieve assigned supply chain goals / key performance indicatorsSupport the institution on projects, initiatives, and other tasks as neededProvide backup to analystsDirectly works with vendors and manufacturers regarding all facets of inventory; billing reconciliation, item changes, consignment levels, supply concerns, order tracking, warranty, packaging, recalls, and moreEnsure items used in clinical cases have been recorded and billed appropriatelyRegularly coordinates with cross-functional departments primarily for issue resolution, information coordination, and project planningConfigure optimum OR inventory plans and execution for assigned categories: locations, racking, labeling, flow, PAR levels, lead time, material flowEstablish relationships, maintain effective communication, and collaborate with clinicians and leadership teamsRequired Qualifications*Bachelors degree in relevant field or equivalent relevant experienceMinimum two years of experience within the Supply Chain IndustryMust be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds on a semi-regular basis.Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping for extended periods.Desired Qualifications*Bachelor's Degree in Supply ChainSkill in Data AnalyticsExperience Implementing Lean Principles

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.  Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
