Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Buyer III, where you will play an integral role in an ambitious automation project. This initiative involves deploying new equipment across our network in North America, focusing on adding data, power, and air piping systems. You will work alongside contractors and vendors to ensure the successful execution of this project, emphasizing efficiency and precision.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers and business partners to support project execution.Review supplier designs and proposals to ensure alignment with business needs, including scope, pricing, and schedules.Support consistent sourcing processes that align with company policies.Facilitate suppliers' understanding of global policies, equipment design standards, budget and cost targets, and service and quality expectations.Drive continuous improvement and value engineering among suppliers to meet performance metrics: quality, delivery, capacity, cost, and safety.Monitor suppliers' supply chains, manufacturing processes, and human capital with respect to overall program objectives.Administer a change management program focused on cost, quality, and schedule objectives, ensuring program delivery per commercial agreements.Develop alternate sourcing strategies to optimize costs and ensure continuity of supply.

Essential Skills

3-5 years of experience as a buyer, preferably in the electrical or compressor industry.Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups (2-4 years).Data analysis skills for evaluating data sets and making informed decisions (2-4 years).Experience in negotiating and program management.Understanding of compressor and air piping systems, including familiarity with industry jargon such as joints, T joints, and valves.Supply chain negotiation experience.Experience working on large or mid-sized projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with air piping contractors and/or compressor vendors is ideal.Experience in buying/procurement.Knowledge of permit processes and industry standards.Ability to analyze and compare quotes effectively.Flexible degree requirements.

Work Environment

You will be part of a 10-12 person team in the Supply Chain, supporting automation for delivery stations. Our fast-paced and collaborative team culture values adaptability and teamwork. You will work extensively with air piping contractors and compressor vendors, managing internal supply chains, vetting codes, and performing program management tasks. This role involves a mix of meetings and independent work, with a focus on collaboration and precision.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $36.00/hr.
