Your role will be crucial in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our operations. **Core Responsibilities** : + Drive profitability and cashflow through effective supplier negotiations + Manage all supply chain change processes + Elevate our supplier performance and manage supply disruption risk **Keys to Success:** + Strong Negotiation Skills + Buyers must be able to negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers effectively. + Attention to Detail + Being detail-oriented is key. Small errors can lead to costly mistakes. + Relationship Management + Strong interpersonal skills are essential for fostering positive relationships with suppliers. + Communication Skills + Clear communication is important when dealing with suppliers, internal stakeholders and other teams. Being able to articulate needs, concerns, and expectations is key to successful purchasing. + Problem-Solving Abilities The purchasing process often involves unexpected issues. Buyers should be proactive in solving problems quickly to prevent disruptions. + Financial Acumen Purchasing should know how to assess the total cost of ownership, not just the price. + Ethical Decision-Making Integrity and ethics are crucial in ensuring fair and visible purchasing practices. + Risk Management Identifying and mitigating risks associated with supply chains is important. **Experience:** + Experience in building and maintaining effective and positive relationships with key collaborators and suppliers. + Strong negotiation and influencing skills. + Proven problem-solving abilities. **Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:** + Understanding of supply chain management. + Computer literate, including advanced Excel skills. + Commercially and financially aware. **Physical Requirements / Work Environment:** The position is office-centered with very occasional travel to meet suppliers and collaborators.
