How will you make an impact:

The Buyer II will ensure the availability and lowest total cost of purchased materials of their own portfolio of materials, this supports the site manufacturing capability.

What will you do:

Work with third party suppliers to create and confirm purchase orders.Work with the Global Sourcing team and the supplier base to ensure SAP pricing is up to date for all raw materials.Create and manage stock transfer orders.Resolve invoice queries to ensure timely payment to suppliers. Build a network with other Thermo Fisher Scientific sites to help deliver inter-company materials. Communicate with internal customers such as Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to coordinate material availability. Maintain Vendor master data, source lists and PIRs within SAP to ensure purchase orders are generated correctly.Support performance metrics for inventory health, purchase order management, Vendor performance and Delta P/PPV.Work with Supplier Quality and Suppliers on any material non-conformances.Drive risk reduction projects, such as bringing on board second sources of supply for key materials. Use continuous improvement tools (e.g. PPI) to carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective actions

How will you get here?

A strong interest in a career in Procurement and Supply ChainWillingness to work towards CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualification.

Experience :

Must have proven track record within Procurement sector ideally within manufacturing, life science or chemical industry sector.

Knowledge, skills & abilities

Strong analytical skills combined with a commercial mentality.Ability to thrive in a matrix and diverse cross-functional team environment.Ability to work effectively in a global organization, within operations and with external partners.Agility in managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, working knowledge of MS applications - Outlook, Power Point, Word, Teams, Power BI.Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards Enterprise One (E1) Oracle
