ResponsibilitiesAbout You
You’re a commercially sharp, customer-obsessed retail professional with a proven track record in buying or trading—ideally within the electrical, lighting or wider home improvement sector.
You thrive on strategy, but you’re hands-on too—able to build compelling trading plans, spot opportunity in the data, and negotiate deals that drive serious value. You’re comfortable working cross-functionally, managing change, and bringing stakeholders on the journey. Crucially, you have the confidence to engage with senior leaders and the clarity to present your ideas at board level.
What you’ll bring:
Strong retail trading/buying experience, ideally with high-volume categoriesProven ability to build and deliver commercial strategiesExcellent supplier management and negotiation skillsGreat at spotting trends and turning insight into actionConfidence working in a fast-paced, agile environmentStrong Excel/PowerPoint skills and an eye for clear, impactful reportingThis is a big role— being part of a £300m+ category—and we’re looking for someone who can think big, move fast, and drive growth.
