Description We are looking for a Buyer to join our team in Pasadena, Texas. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position that offers the opportunity to contribute to procurement operations in a dynamic industry environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in construction or maritime sectors and a strong ability to support purchasing activities effectively. Responsibilities: • Assist the Purchasing Manager in identifying and sourcing suppliers to meet project requirements. • Collect and analyze quotes from vendors to ensure cost efficiency and quality. • Manage procurement processes while maintaining accurate documentation and records. • Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing needs and align sourcing strategies. • Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms for pricing and delivery timelines. • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stakeholders to prevent shortages. • Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements to enhance procurement operations. • Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions to support strategic purchasing decisions. • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards during procurement activities. Requirements • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the construction or maritime industry. • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish effective supplier relationships. • Proficiency in analyzing quotes and making data-driven purchasing decisions. • Familiarity with inventory management and procurement software tools. • Excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate with multiple teams. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to procurement. • A proactive and adaptable approach to handling procurement challenges.
