Description We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team in Burnsville, Minnesota. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing procurement processes, ensuring the timely and efficient acquisition of goods and services. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a background in retail and expertise in health information systems. Responsibilities: • Manage procurement activities, including sourcing and purchasing goods and services to meet company needs. • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards during the purchasing process. • Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms. • Collaborate with internal departments to forecast purchasing requirements and maintain inventory levels. • Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovative solutions. • Utilize health information management systems to streamline procurement operations. • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications. • Resolve issues related to orders, deliveries, or discrepancies with suppliers. • Provide regular reports on procurement activities and cost analysis to management. • Support the implementation and optimization of procurement technologies. Requirements • Proven experience in a Buyer or procurement role, preferably in the retail industry. • Knowledge of health information management systems such as AHLTA, McKesson, and EHR systems. • Familiarity with IBM AS/400 or similar enterprise resource planning tools. • Strong negotiation and communication skills to manage vendor relationships effectively. • Ability to analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings. • Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and managing procurement documentation. • Adept at multitasking and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
