What will you do:

Purchasing for inventory, capital/repairable spares and on-site services. Work closely and collaboratively with the Business Unit to understand priorities, needs, goals, objectives, and opportunities to support the business more effectively. This includes collaboratively understanding inventory needs for upcoming maintenance work, establishing priorities, and expediting material where applicable. Manage the inventory part change and approval process.  Working with end users to review specifications, approve, and purchase, and holding a monthly review with the business to drive accountability. Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers, to monitor performance, negotiate material pricing, and to establish optimal delivery schedules for critical materials that align with maintenance execution schedules. Supporting and managing the site repair and return process for all inventory capital spare, and repairable equipment.  You will work with the business to select the right supplier, collaborate with the supplier to receive the inspection report, and work with maintenance reliability to establish optimal repair schedules that align with upcoming outages where these critical spares are required. Conduct weekly meetings with maintenance, outage, and turnaround teams to review inventory reservations in SAP and set expediting priorities based on the business needs aligned with the upcoming execution of priority work. Create and update the SAP material master in sparesfinder, identify materials purchased frequently to add to price agreements (SAP Outline Agreement), and identify opportunities to create new price agreements supporting automation priorities. Spend channel optimization by purchasing from preferred suppliers with established agreements. Process invoices workflow and GRIR promptly following Nutrien procurement policy and procedures. Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual summaries related to inventory accuracy. Your role is crucial in meeting individual and department goals & objective targets identified by management, making you an integral part of our team's success. Perform additional tasks as defined by the Site Procurement Manager, who will provide you with the necessary support and guidance to excel in your role.

 

What you will bring:

3+ years of relevant experience in purchasing, strategic sourcing, strategic procurement, and/or supply chain. Bachelor’s degree preferred; MBA/Master’s degree preferred but not required. Certifications in Procurement (SCMP/CPSM), Inventory Management (CIPS), Lean / Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence are preferred but not required. Preference is given to experience at a large petrochemical or oil and gas industrial site. Expert or High-level SAP /experience and the ability to learn quickly. Team player with a customer-focused approach, both internally and externally. Strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail. Create “value beyond savings” through continuous improvement, efficiency, and leadership of initiatives that create new value for the organization. Results-driven mindset, with developing capabilities in problem-solving and analytical thinking. A high degree of ethics, discretion, honesty, fairness, and sound business practices.
