Job Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to play a key role in advancing our customers supply chain strategy and achieving critical operational goals. In this role, you'll collaborate across functions to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Recommend and implement industry best practice approaches to material procurement.Laise with Suppliers and Quality Manager to evaluate any supplier quality deficiencies in a timely proactive manner.Coordinate procurement and timely delivery of materials and services by collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across engineering, operations, and planning teams.Resolve general inquiries from internal and external stakeholders with a customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset.Ensure compliance with all applicable import, export, and excise regulations, maintaining the highest standards of regulatory adherence.Manage key responsibilities across multiple supply chain functions, especially in smaller or matrixed locations where cross-functional collaboration is critical.Execute procurement and supply chain activities that span multiple disciplines and do not fall into a single defined category.Foster strong supplier relationships to drive both objective (on-time delivery, quality) and subjective (communication, responsiveness) performance to the highest levels.Partner with cross-functional teams to define and deliver impactful supply chain projects that improve supply assurance, quality, and cost.

Work Experience

Qualifications:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

Skills Required:

Efficiently and effectively managed the procurement within an engineering or manufacturing biased industry.Experience working in a manufacturing environment, with a solid understanding of production and supply chain dynamics. Proficiency in SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.Experience building and maintaining strong supplier relationships that support long-term business goals.Demonstrated experience as an effective and strategic negotiator.Project management experience, with the ability to lead and support cross-functional initiatives.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
