This role is responsible for monitoring, managing, planning, and purchasing materials to support the end-to-end supply chain in a fast-paced FDA-regulated manufacturing environment. It requires a comprehensive understanding of supply chain operations and involves direct interaction with internal and external customers to plan and forecast demand. The Buyer will create purchasing schedules, source materials, and monitor inventories to balance operational efficiency with financial performance. This position supports daily manufacturing operations, marketing requirements, and customer orders, and plays a vital role in new qualifications, validations, and projects. Responsibilities + Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials for manufacturing and commercial needs + Adjust delivery dates with suppliers based on production schedule changes + Collaborate with internal and external customers to plan demand and generate forecasts + Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and drive performance + Monitor supplier on-time delivery (OTD) and report trends + Maintain ERP data integrity for accurate ordering and delivery tracking + Perform daily purchase order (PO) maintenance + Monitor open orders to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) material receipts + Work with Accounts Payable to resolve PO and invoice issues + Evaluate and adjust safety stock levels based on inventory, lead times, and EOQs + Address quality, pricing, and delivery issues, escalating when necessary + Order materials in compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements + Coordinate with Supplier Quality to onboard new suppliers and materials + Manage disposition of questionable materials and process debit memos + Track inventory of discontinued items and ensure run-out and validation plans are met Essential Skills + In-depth knowledge of ERP systems in a manufacturing/supply chain environment + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Advanced Excel and Power BI proficiency + Experience with shelf-life controlled products + Familiarity with ERP systems for MRP and inventory management (preferably SAP) + 5+ years of experience in Pharma, Medical Device, or Biologics industries + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field + Understanding of Lean/Six Sigma principles (Green/Black Belt preferred) Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
