This role is responsible for monitoring, managing, planning, and purchasing materials to support the end-to-end supply chain in a fast-paced FDA-regulated manufacturing environment. It requires a comprehensive understanding of supply chain operations and involves direct interaction with internal and external customers to plan and forecast demand. The Buyer will create purchasing schedules, source materials, and monitor inventories to balance operational efficiency with financial performance. This position supports daily manufacturing operations, marketing requirements, and customer orders, and plays a vital role in new qualifications, validations, and projects.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure uninterrupted supply of materials for manufacturing and commercial needsAdjust delivery dates with suppliers based on production schedule changesCollaborate with internal and external customers to plan demand and generate forecastsDevelop and maintain strong supplier relationships and drive performanceMonitor supplier on-time delivery (OTD) and report trendsMaintain ERP data integrity for accurate ordering and delivery trackingPerform daily purchase order (PO) maintenanceMonitor open orders to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) material receiptsWork with Accounts Payable to resolve PO and invoice issuesEvaluate and adjust safety stock levels based on inventory, lead times, and EOQsAddress quality, pricing, and delivery issues, escalating when necessaryOrder materials in compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirementsCoordinate with Supplier Quality to onboard new suppliers and materialsManage disposition of questionable materials and process debit memosTrack inventory of discontinued items and ensure run-out and validation plans are metEssential SkillsIn-depth knowledge of ERP systems in a manufacturing/supply chain environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAdvanced Excel and Power BI proficiencyExperience with shelf-life controlled productsFamiliarity with ERP systems for MRP and inventory management (preferably SAP)5+ years of experience in Pharma, Medical Device, or Biologics industriesBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related fieldUnderstanding of Lean/Six Sigma principles (Green/Black Belt preferred)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
