Job Purpose:

Our Buyer will be responsible for managing inventory planning and execution for specific items and suppliers and ensuring alignment with business targets for Fill Rate and Days Inventory on Hand (DIOH). This position will optimize replenishment strategies in SAP, adjust forecasts based on demand changes, and ensure accurate Purchase Order execution. Buyers also serve as the primary point of contact with suppliers and collaborate closely with internal teams to monitor inventory trends and supplier performance.

Job Responsibilities:

● Monitor daily inventory replenishment to address backorders and optimize stock levels.
● Maintain and update forecasting and vendor parameters in SAP, including lead times and order quantities, to reduce shortages and excess.
● Use SAP reporting and analytics to drive proactive, data-informed replenishment decisions.
● Collaborate with internal teams (RSL, Inventory Management, Category Management) to align inventory placement with marketing initiatives.
● Resolve complex supply chain issues, including aged inventory and escalations from Inventory Coordinators.
● Partner with Finance and Purchasing to address purchase order and invoice discrepancies.
● Support supplier performance improvements by driving forecast collaboration and negotiating minimum order reductions.
● Communicate clearly with stakeholders, advise on customer-dedicated inventory strategies, and guide Expeditors on vendor delays and OS&D resolutions.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

● Strategic mindset able to balance multiple objectives and resolve complex business problems.

● Display a sense of urgency to respond to inquiries and service internal and external customers.

● Experience with SAP Replenishment Planning preferred.

Work Experience:

● 3-5 years of related job experience.● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.● Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.● Knowledge of major ERP (enterprise resource planning) software applications such as SAP, Oracle, or PeopleSoft.

Education:

● High School Diploma Preferred
