About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our procurement team. This role is critical in identifying and managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely procurement of parts, equipment, and materials, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: Identify and recommend suppliers by researching availability of parts, equipment, machinery, services, and materials. Conduct supplier site visits to evaluate production capabilities, performance, and delivery standards. Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements that reflect negotiated terms and conditions. Evaluate bids and negotiate pricing, delivery, and service for standard and non-standard items. Monitor and assess supplier performance, addressing any issues that may impact production or delivery. Resolve shipment quality discrepancies and mediate supplier/manufacturing issues. Negotiate and settle claims related to damages, rejections, returns, and engineering changes. Provide information and support regarding parts, equipment, and materials. Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing procurement data and trends. Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and aerospace industry regulations and internal policies.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline. Experience or exposure to supply chain concepts and manufacturing through internships or training. Strong analytical and technical skills with an understanding of business practices. Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with electronic processing systems. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
