Description We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a long-term contract position that requires expertise in health information management and procurement processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing purchasing activities while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Manufacturing experience required. SAP software experience a plus. Responsibilities: • Oversee the procurement of goods and services related to health information systems and applications. • Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate contracts to achieve optimal pricing and quality. • Manage supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery of required materials. • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify purchasing needs and develop sourcing strategies. • Maintain and update purchasing records using systems such as IBM AS/400 and McKesson. • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards in procurement activities. • Support the implementation and integration of electronic health record (EHR) systems. • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues impacting delivery or quality. • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings. • Provide regular reports on purchasing activities and budget utilization. Requirements • Proven experience in health information management and procurement. • Familiarity with Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA). • Proficiency in using McKesson and other EHR systems. • Strong knowledge of IBM AS/400 and related technologies. • Excellent negotiation and communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
