Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Buyer to support our Purchasing department. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and procuring essential supplies and tools for our plant operations. This includes items such as hammers, nails, gloves, safety glasses, and other commonly used materials. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and occasionally driving a company vehicle to pick up materials from local vendors.

Work Experience

Key Responsibilities:

Source, order, and procure tools, equipment, and supplies as needed for plant operationsMaintain appropriate inventory levels to support production and safety requirementsCommunicate with vendors to obtain pricing, availability, and lead timesTrack purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materialsCollaborate with the Purchaser and plant staff to meet supply needsDrive company vehicle to pick up urgent materials or supplies from local vendorsMaintain records of purchases and receipts for reporting and auditing purposes

Requirements:

Minimum age: 25 years old (for insurance purposes related to operating company vehicle)Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience in purchasing, warehouse, or general labor a plusStrong organizational and communication skillsMust be able to work independently and manage time effectivelyBilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in a plant/warehouse environmentMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionallyAble to stand, walk, and move throughout the plant during shift
