Description Key Responsibilities: Contract Negotiation & Supplier Management + Lead contract negotiations with key suppliers to secure the most favorable terms, including pricing, lead times, payment terms, and quality expectations. + Analyze supplier proposals and use data-driven insights to influence contract decisions and identify value-add opportunities. + Draft, review, and manage supplier agreements in collaboration with legal and internal stakeholders to mitigate risk and ensure compliance. + Cultivate strategic partnerships with suppliers while holding them accountable to KPIs related to cost, quality, and delivery. Strategic Sourcing & Localization + Identify and evaluate alternative sources with a focus on localizing part production to improve availability and reduce total cost of ownership. + Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, and Logistics to align purchasing strategies with operational and project needs. + Stay ahead of market trends and supplier capabilities to proactively adjust sourcing strategies. Cost Optimization & Savings Initiatives + Lead initiatives to reduce costs through negotiation, contract renegotiation, and supplier consolidation. + Provide transparent reporting on savings, including breakdowns across materials, logistics, and import duties. + Contribute to working capital reduction efforts through smarter buying and supplier terms. + Partner with other Atlas Copco divisions to leverage global volume and pricing advantages. Collaboration & Cross-functional Partnership + Serve as a strategic liaison between Purchasing and internal teams to ensure supplier performance aligns with organizational goals. + Communicate clearly and proactively to ensure project alignment and successful outcomes. + Execute additional duties as needed to support Purchasing and business priorities. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. • 5-7 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or spare parts industries. • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships, including negotiating terms and improving supplier performance. • Experience with cost-saving strategies and tracking their outcomes. • Proficiency in ERP systems such as Epicor and other enterprise resource planning tools. • Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable agreements while maintaining positive supplier relationships. • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. • Familiarity with accounts payable processes and other financial functions related to procurement.
