INTRODUCTION and WHAT YOU WILL DO (Job Responsibilities)
\nThe Buyer will be a member of the Purchasing Organization and will be paired with a Purchasing Specialist to manage a large list of direct material suppliers. The role will be focused on strategic management of assigned suppliers, with a focus on continuous improvement and execution against key business metrics including inventory turns, customer order fill rates, and purchase price variance (PPV).
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n\nWork with Product Managers and Suppliers to develop strategic promotional plans. Negotiate price discounts in support of promotional plans.\nNegotiate annual Supplier sales rebate agreements.\nManage Supplier performance through conducting Scorecard reviews and developing and implementing action plans for improvement.\nOther Supplier terms and conditions negotiations as needed.\nWork closely with Purchasing Specialist to manage assigned products and suppliers.\nReview and place purchase orders.\nSet and maintain JD Edwards system item planning parameters (lead times, minimum order quantities, safety stock, etc.).\n\nCAREER PROGRESSIONS / PROMOTABLE TO:
