Join PDS Tech Commercial in supporting our industry-leading client’s Richardson, TX operation—an essential hub serving enterprise and service provider markets through advanced system integration, engineering, testing, direct fulfillment, and robust after-market solutions. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Buyer to help drive operational excellence and innovation across this high-impact environment.

About the Role

As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and services across the organization. This position requires a high degree of independence, sound judgment, and the ability to manage moderately complex procurement tasks that support both new product introductions and existing product life cycles. You’ll work cross-functionally to drive supply chain efficiency, manage supplier performance, and contribute directly to the success of key operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Procure goods and services in support of manufacturing and business operations

Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and suppliers during pre-production and full-scale production phases

Execute purchasing activities driven by MRP and demand planning systems

Manage last-time buys and end-of-life procurement strategies

Ensure timely delivery and accurate inventory management while minimizing costs

Update standard part costs and track forecast accuracy

Lead supplier performance reviews, issue resolution, and cost-reduction initiatives

Monitor key procurement KPIs (on-time delivery, order execution, PO cycle times, etc.)

Support internal and ISO audit readiness; address audit findings promptly

Champion continuous improvement in supply chain processes, data integrity, and parameter management

Qualifications

Required:

4 to 7 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems

Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines

Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control

Familiarity with ISO standards and audit procedures

Preferred:

Experience in a high-tech or electronics manufacturing environment

Understanding of end-of-life product strategies and strategic sourcing initiatives

Proven track record of supplier relationship management and performance improvement

Pay Details: $36.00 per hour
