Work type: Hybrid – expected at least 4 days/week presence in our offices in Houten

ABOUT THE ROLE & THE TEAM

The New Models Business Unit at Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions functions as a fully integrated Vendor Go-To-Market team, specializing in accelerating the adoption of emerging technologies and business models. By combining deep market expertise, strategic vendor partnerships, and end-to-end support, the unit enables seamless market entry, scalable growth, and innovative solutions for vendors and channel partners in the enterprise computing ecosystem.

As the Business Unit Manager New Models at Arrow ECS, you will take the lead on the new sales team focused on end customers en channel partners, composed of 6 – 8 collaborators, located in our offices in Houten nearby Utrecht. You will exercise your role within Netherlands.

The Business Unit Manager New Models provides strategic leadership to (technically) salespeople, inside sales and professional staff, overseeing multiple interconnected units to ensure high performance and successful outcomes. This role is accountable for the overall performance and results of this unit, driving alignment with organizational goals and priorities. By developing comprehensive departmental plans that encompass business, production, and organizational objectives, the Business Unit Manager ensures efficient resource allocation and effective policy formation within their area of responsibility.

Leveraging deep functional expertise and existing methodologies, the Business Unit Manager addresses complex challenges and implements practical solutions.

This role also involves managing and guiding large teams composed of professionals and/or junior managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment to achieve organizational success.

MORE ABOUT THE POSITION

Principal Accountabilities:

Sales Leadership:

You will manage and drive the sales efforts of the team, ensuring achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company objectives.

Represent the team internally and externally, ensuring the department exceeds expectations from both vendor and customer perspectives.

Accurately forecast opportunities and guide the team in managing sales pipelines and growth targets.

Consistently recommend operational improvements that contribute to strategic objectives and team effectiveness.

Management and Team Development:

You will set strategic and sales objectives for the sales teams and develop tactical solutions to achieve/exceed these goals.

Participate in field sales account calls and supplier reviews, offering leadership and driving growth and profitability.

Oversee recruiting, hiring, training, performance reviews, salary administration, and daily coaching of team members.

Provide ongoing feedback, set goals, manage development plans, and proactively address performance challenges.

Deliver a high-performing team by fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

You will direct sales strategies that motivate teams to reach goals and deliver measurable results.

Maintain senior-level relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal corporate teams.

Lead assigned projects and drive corporate initiatives to align with the company's strategic priorities.

Analyze data and leverage past experience to make informed decisions on strategy and direction.

Implement supply chain, engineering, supplier, or service excellence strategies to drive value-added sales opportunities.

Identify and help achieve branch goals and sales targets.

Customer, Supplier, and Vendor Relationship Management:

You will enhance the company's reputation by delivering service excellence and improving process efficiencies.

Attend customer, supplier, and vendor reviews and meetings to strengthen relationships and collaboration.

Increase management presence at customer accounts to gain access to decision-makers at all levels.

Implement effective problem-solving techniques and ensure seamless communication across stakeholders.

Build strong relationships with senior-level contacts across customers, suppliers, and corporate teams.

What we are looking for:

At least 10 years of IT industry experience in end-user sales combined with new business development or account management within the IT distribution or IT vendors’ sector

At least a few years of experience in managing a Sales Team

Great understanding of the IT sector and the local market (Netherlands), with the well-established network

Vendor GTM experience in Mid-Market Direct and Indirect Sales.

Vendor Ecosystem Development, management and Monetization

50 to 100 M€ ACV Sales Target Management

Strong Matrix and Virtual management skills

Change Management experience

Fluency in Dutch and English
