Job Description
Reporting to the Managing Director of Greece, we are currently recruiting for a Business Unit Director for Vaccines, who would be an integral part of the local Leadership Team and be accountable for the strategy, operations, and profit results of the business unit.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Business Unit Director, you will be primarily responsible for maximizing the market and sales potential for the Business Unit that spans across priority Franchises for the company. You will help develop long range vision of the needs of the commercial organization, anticipate the impact of business trends and prepare plans to accommodate business changes while meeting overall company objectives.
As the head of the Business Unit, you will develop and execute the Strategic, Profit and long-range plans for relevant Franchises while guiding and engaging a team of professionals to deliver on the business strategy and drive success and value for our company and customers. In addition, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of brand management including omnichannel plans for each of the Franchises. Responsibilities for the role will be quite diverse and will include sales and marketing management, digital journeys, supply forecasting, people management and engaging external stakeholders.
Primary Activities include but not limited to
Drive growth of the Vaccines Portfolio, which include both Pediatric, Adolescent and Adult vaccines. Vaccines are among the key growth drivers for our company and there will be a focus on HPV and new vaccines launches for pneumococcal and RSV.Identify new business opportunities / threats and develop innovative business approaches to ensure long term business growth.Ensure the integration of Marketing, Sales and support functions within the standards of the company in order to achieve business objectives and provide rapid response to market opportunities and threats. You will also attract, develop and retain talent.Identify unmet and evolving needs of customers and you bring a strong leadership mindset and a great track record.Work closely with Regional and global stakeholders to align and strengthen business strategies and execution plan.Obtain strategic alignment from key stakeholders around new initiatives and development of a shared vision for the organization.Steer the development of a comprehensive account management strategy, address significant customer/ marketplace dynamics and optimize customer-centric solutions.Leverage deep knowledge of customer needs and engage broad groups of stakeholders to develop mutually sustainable solutions to evolve the Greek vaccines landscape.Draw competitive intelligence, evaluating competitor trends to shape the long-term strategy with an understanding of emerging market dynamics.Manage the sales strategy and be responsible for achieving or exceeding annual sales targets within the Business Unit products.As a leader of the sales operations, ensure effective shaping and proper implementation of communication strategies and promotional operations through existing and new channels.Establish and maintain relationships with external opinion leaders, key health managers, and others, which are of importance of the Business Unit.Manage, motivate and develop a talented organization, while building a strong, diverse and inclusive culture within the business unit.Education and Experience
A Master’s degree is required. Candidates must have at least 5 years of relevant senior-level managerial experience within the pharmaceutical, MedTech, or medical devices sectors. In addition, a strong understanding of the healthcare landscape in Greece is essential.
