**Job Description**
This position promotes student success in all business and related courses. This position also provides lead work for a rotation of business and other related tutors consisting of student employees and volunteers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Promote student success in all Business course and other related courses.
+ Assist in daily operation of business Management Tutoring area.
+ Work as a team to manage the daily operations of the Academic Success Center
+ Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.
This position may be eligible for partial telework per the Minneapolis College’s Telework Guidelines.
**Salary Range:**
$21.57- $30.13
**Minimum Qualifications**
Associate or higher degree in Business or a closely related field,
AND
+ One (1) academic year of teaching/tutoring experience in Business at the high school level or above
OR
+ An equivalent combination of education and work experience.
**Preferred Qualification**
+ Bachelor’s degree in business or a closely related field.
+ Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency, incorporates culturally responsive practices, and actively engages in antiracism professional development learning opportunities.
+ Ability to apply knowledge of course content and tutor techniques to support student success.
+ Human relations skills sufficient to assist and motivate students from a variety of ethnic, cultural, academic, economic, and social backgrounds.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with faculty members, counselors, administrators and related personnel regarding student needs, department needs and other concerns.
+ Ability to apply knowledge of college policies and procedure to assist students.
+ Ability to acquire knowledge and curriculum changes, developments in the writing field, and tutoring methodologies to maintain up-to-date service delivery
**Other Requirements**
Current and former employees must be in good standing with Minneapolis College for consideration.
**Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)**
20 hours per week, Monday - Thursday; either 10:00am - 3:00pm or 11:00am-4:00pm
**Telework (Yes/No)**
This position may be eligible for partial telework per the Minneapolis College’s Telework Guidelines.
