Purpose of Position

The Business Systems Application Engineer role is designed to drive the development and enhancement of operational systems, leveraging Microsoft Power Apps and Power BI to support and optimize business processes. This position focuses on enabling ERP improvements and facilitating lean manufacturing kaizens to promote continuous process improvements. The role aims to integrate technology and business processes seamlessly within the Microsoft ecosystem to enhance efficiency, innovation, and overall organizational performance.
\n\nThis role is on-site in Duncansville, Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities
\n\n Lead the development and implementation of new operations systems, with a particular focus on leveraging Microsoft Power Apps to create custom business applications.\nIntegrate data sets and develop comprehensive Microsoft Power BI reports that facilitate informed decision-making, eliminate process waste, and minimize the risk of incremental costs arising from the inability to make proactive data-driven decisions.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives by supporting lean manufacturing kaizens aimed at process optimization.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for system enhancements and integration, particularly within ERP environments.\nManage the full lifecycle of business applications, from requirements gathering and system design to deployment, maintenance, and user training.\nOversee the creation and implementation of best practices for application development, deployment, and maintenance.\nProvide expertise and guidance on the customization and configuration of ERP systems to better support business processes.\nAnalyze business requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions that align with the company's strategic goals.\nCoordinate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure that business system applications deliver maximum value and efficiency.\nMonitor the performance of business applications, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.\nFacilitate the adoption of new applications and systems through comprehensive change management and training programs.\nAll other duties as assigned \n\n\n
Background and Skills
\n\n Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.\nProven experience in managing and developing applications using Microsoft Power Apps and other Microsoft technologies.\nStrong background in ERP system configuration and improvement, with a preference for candidates with experience in lean manufacturing environments.\nDemonstrated ability to lead kaizen events and apply lean principles for process improvements.\nExcellent project management skills and experience with agile methodologies.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.\nExceptional leadership capabilities and experience managing a diverse team of IT professionals.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nRelevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate) are highly desirable.\n\n\nVontier partners with you and your family on your health and wellness journey.
