Location: Remote Duration: 12 months Overview: The Business Systems Analyst VII will provide both strategic and tactical leadership for application systems across the enterprise. This senior-level role supports long-range planning, guides major system enhancements, oversees critical compliance and regulatory projects, and acts as a Subject Matter Expert for enterprise initiatives. The individual will work closely with business units and technology partners to deliver solutions that align with organizational goals while mentoring less experienced team members. Primary Responsibilities: Consult with client leadership to analyze business requirements and recommend strategic technology solutions. Maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT partners. Translate high-level business requirements into detailed technical specifications. Guide testing efforts including review of requirements, functional specifications, and execution of test cases. Serve as SME and provide direction on application functionality and data integration strategies. Oversee project plans and report status to senior leadership. Recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and technologies to enhance departmental performance. Act as a liaison with internal and external partners to ensure timely communication and delivery of system changes or updates. Scope of Responsibilities: Manage complex project initiatives across multiple departments. Ensure business and technical impacts are clearly understood and communicated. Serve as escalation point for risk-related issues; ensure regulatory compliance standards are met. Continuously identify opportunities for performance and process optimization. Contribute to maintaining internal controls and audit standards. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities: Provide mentorship and leadership to less experienced analysts and project team members. Promote a collaborative team environment. May direct the work of small to mid-size teams. Education and Experience Required: Combined minimum of 10 years in higher education and/or relevant operational, business analytics, or systems development roles. Demonstrated experience in managing system enhancements, conversions, and production support. Deep understanding of the system development life cycle. Proven experience with SQL, data warehousing, and ETL tools and concepts. Strong communication, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Education and Experience Preferred: Bachelor's degree. Experience supporting multiple business areas and integrated application systems. Expertise in project management tools and business applications (e.g., MS Project, Excel). Knowledge of financial systems or banking technology environments. Proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to lead initiatives and influence stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
