The Business Systems Analyst III’s (BSA III) role is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The BSA III is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.
Key Responsibilities:
·Meet with decision makers, system owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals and identify and resolve systems issues.
·Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations and information process flow.
·Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
·Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure time required for taking actions.
·Collaborate in the planning, design, development and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
Competencies Required:
·Excellent technical skills with Microsoft network and PC operating systems including working knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards; SQL and programming languages; data retrieval methodologies; and financial services software applications.
·Strong working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies and processes.
·Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
·Proven ability to prioritize and manage workload in a high-pressure environment and to instill a sense of urgency in others as necessary to meet deadlines.
·Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively identify and develop solutions for business needs.
·Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
·Excellent process and project management skills.
· Strategic and problem-solving mindset with developed analytical abilities and organizational skills.
·Exceptional verbal communication and technical writing skills with an ability to effectively interact with and convey information to people who possess varying levels of understanding on applicable topics.
