Business Systems Analyst – Customer Service Support

Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.
What You Will Be Doing:
Analyzes and documents current department processes and procedures and initiates any process improvement changes with management approval. Reviews and research system related problems and potential improvements and works closely with business partners, Information Services, and vendors to seek resolution. Serves as a department team lead and liaison for projects involving new software systems and business process changes. May create user stories to guide system development and conduct user acceptance testing if appropriate. Provides analysis and recommendations on the implementation of new processes and procedures. Communicates system and business process changes to other departmental personnel and provides necessary training.
What We're Looking For:
Requires department-related experience and detailed knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, operations, and philosophies, as well as business rules, regulations and applicable state laws.Thorough understanding of systems and business processes used by the department and the technical skills to demonstrate that knowledge.Knowledgeable of project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile Scrum.Excellent prioritization skills to assess project impact and potential impacts toward key objectives.Superior data analysis skills, investigative, and decision-making abilities.Excellent oral and written communication skills to articulate needs to Information Services, present business case for proposed changes, and to gain acceptance of new systems and practices.Ability to manage time effectively, maintain schedules to meet deadlines, and work well within a team environment.Superior interpersonal skills to effectively function in lead roles, train others on system and/or procedures, and conduct meetingsAbility to perform essential functions of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.Shelter's uncompromising commitment to excellence doesn't stop with our customers.
