Business Systems Analyst

**This is a hybrid role that requires onsite work in our Newton, MA office 3x a week.**
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for partnering closely with programmers, business analysts, engineers, QA testers, and other key team members to design, build, deploy and support systems. This resource will be involved in engineering, design and application optimization efforts for large client facing transactional systems. Technology focused on Informatica PowerCenter / IDMC or any ETL toolset, Snowflake, Microsoft platform, Azure, SQL Server, SSRS, and SSIS etc.

**What you will be doing:**
+ Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Also ensure that requirements are properly translated into technical specifications, clarify requirements, review recommendations and answer questions
+ Systems Analysis: specifically application, integration and reporting design and analysis of platform integrity.
+ Systems Evaluation: identify metrics and indicators of system performance and actions necessary for remediation.
+ Code analysis: Execute tools and evaluate results to ensure code integrity and minimize security risk.
+ Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data to identify, report or clarify data issues
+ Develop flow diagrams on the systems process.
+ Develop and document business requirements through a variety of means such as, but not limited to user interviews, surveys, workflow reviews, research on industry best practices, and user workshops.
+ Working with Managers to come up with project plans and run the daily and weekly Scrum calls and creating ADO user stories
+ Work with IT Development team to ensure requirements are properly translated into technical specifications that meet the business needs. Assist IT Development team through design, code, test and deploy to ensure any issues are resolved.
+ Ensure that all process and documentation are consistent with best practices and Bright Horizons standards for Solution Delivery Life Cycle.
+ Participate in User Acceptance testing.
+ Identify areas for improvement in the application delivery process.
+ Conduct, design and configure product and business configuration for system functionality, and specify data requirement and constraints of surrounding systems. This includes supporting the business teams with UAT validations.
+ Collaborate and build consensus between technical team and stakeholders working to balance scope, speed to market and available resources
**Minimum requirements:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
+ 5 years of related work experience
**Preferred Qualifications and Skills:**
+ Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
+ Experience in writing Business requirements for Data warehousing and ETL solutions is highly preferred.
+ Experience and knowledge on Data Warehousing and strong SQL principles, design guidelines, and techniques is a plus.
+ Critical Thinking: use logic and reasoning to analyze strengths, weaknesses and alternatives for solution design.
+ Complex problem solving: ability to evaluate options and make recommendations based on weighted priorities.
+ Negotiation: Collaborate with business functions to identify business value and work with different teams to prioritize backlogs
+ Proficiency in SQL server and ETL tools
+ Ability to quickly learn new systems/software.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
