•Undertake duties as directed by the Local Operations Manager.•Undertake regular review of HS performance across project.•Advise what training and qualifications are required for all members of the Construction team to undertake their roles and responsibilities in respect of HS.•Advise what human, technical and equipment resources are sufficient and appropriate to meet the project’s HS objectives.•Provide information, technical advice and support to all Construction teams on HS information including legislation, standards, codes of practice etc.•Participate in workplace inspections and provide guidance as required to workers nominated to complete designated tasks and corrective action.•Monitor that incidents across project have been properly investigated and that appropriate and timely corrective action has been initiated to prevent recurrence.•Disseminate statistical information regarding incidents near misses and injuries to relevant consultative forums and persons concerned in the management of PDS.•Conduct site safety inspections and audits.•Assist project teams to review HS considerations in the selection of service providers (subcontractors and suppliers).•Monitor that PDS construction projects have a documented emergency procedure and Project HS Risk Assessment and safety documentation required before work commences.
