Role Synopsis:
The proposed role will encompass 3 major pillars of Startup engagement, Industry Initiatives and Product leadership. External stakeholder management and multi-disciplinary alignments across the industry and startup ecosystem is key to success for this proposed role.
Responsibilities: -
• Leading the strategy, partnerships and oversee the startup cohort execution for SAP Startup Studio – the corporate startup accelerator at SAP Labs India.
• Engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders from the Indian startup ecosystem such as various Venture Capital backed accelerators, Venture Capital Funds, Ecosystem builders, various central and state level government agencies for startup program collaboration, collaborators across academic accelerators and others.
• Deepen the collaboration with Industry bodies and trade bodies – lead the overall engagement strategy and positioning of SAP Labs India as a leading thought leader across various domains of technology & Products, Innovation and IP, People and culture practices, social impact initiatives among others.
• Collaborate with product practitioners across SAP and outside of SAP to ensure cross collaboration and cross pollination of best practices and enable an effective positioning of SAP’s best practices in the domain of product engineering, product management and User Experience.
• Curate an engagement plan for the various product led communities of practice, which covers enablement programs, thought leadership building activities and identifying strategic projects which could be delivered by the product practitioners at SAP Labs India.
• Act as a trusted advisory to the leadership team at SAP Labs India on multitude of topics from the industry, startup ecosystem and product community outside of SAP.
• Collaborate and support the SAP Labs India leadership on key matters pertaining to the location strategy and lead the content management and strategy for the location.
Skill set requirement: -
1. Minimum of 12 years of experience across cross functions within the Industry/Startup ecosystem.
2. Corporate Strategy – prior experience in strategy execution for the executive offices that they have represented.
3. Program Management – led end-to-end execution of various strategic programs
4. Startup and VC Ecosystem connect – significant years of work focused on the space of startup acceleration, startup collaborator programs and initiatives, analysts at VC funds focused on early stage and growth stage startups, organizing and program managing Industry wide startup events. Successfully hosted multiple editions of Nasscom Future Forge, Dell for Startups, AI focused startup engagements, Mentoring Deep Tech startups
5. Product and Growth engagements – led and executed multiple industry wide enablement and mentoring initiatives by leveraging the product and growth hacker community in India.
6. Stakeholder Management – collaborating and driving value driven engagements across the ecosystem with a diverse set of stakeholders across Government Agencies, Industry Bodies, Academia, Startup ecosystem builders
