Job Description

The Business Sales Manager is responsible for effectively managing all existing and potential customers within Packaging Distribution.

They will be responsible for strategic accounts and account/business acquisition in a defined category across all channels.  They create and execute short and mid-term business strategies and performance according to the account plan (delivering the month, quarter, and year per plan).  Will work with all levels of the organization and will be responsible for relationships with global, key account leaders.

The Business Sales Manager will:

Create and execute the account plan / own and manage requests for pricing / contractsBe Responsible for contract execution and follow-up on end dateMonitor the customer's financial situation in order to safeguard the interests of the companyAdapt the mix of products to the real needs and potential of each market, aiming at the strategic interests of the company and customer satisfactionMonitor the activities of the competition, aiming to provide the company with informationDefine and negotiate prices to be practiced for each client / productIdentify opportunities to prospect commercial investmentsIdentify projects to convert other packaging materials to glassMaintain the average payment term and default percentage of the segment within the company's goalProvides input and educates product management, marketing, and manufacturing organization on customer needs and issuesProgressively responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and landing new customers / new business

The Business Sales Manager should have:

The ability to do lead adjustments as needed. Starts the commercial proposal process and supports the negotiation process as neededThe skills to Monitor the activities of the competition, aiming to provide the company with informationPrevious experience Achieving sales volumes (EBIT, Revenue, Physical Volume) committed in the company budgetExtensive experience  analyzing and validating sales forecastsThe ability to generate plans to ensure broad penetration into mid-level accounts within assigned territoryPrevious experience generating, developing, and closing sales opportunities with a focus on the most profitable mid-level accountsThe skills to develop presentations to resolve/address customer issues

QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalentSales and/or marketing experienceIdeally experienced with Key Account Management ProgramsMust be proficient with Microsoft Office and have Strong PC skills and ease of working with computer systemsStrong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently without supervision, but also work well with the team and other departmentsGood verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated and self-disciplined

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:  

Training will take place in Plano, TXPossible customer visits or corporate travel required

Salary Range:  The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $130,000.   Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
