Business Planning Manager
**Job Description** **Work Arrangement** This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren (MI) three times per week, at minimum. **Position Overview** The Business Planning Manager will support Global Vehicle Hardware Engineering partnering with the Engineering Vice President and their Global Leadership team (approx. 7K globally). This role will support development of the functional strategy and portfolio/business plan, tracking execution and results, ensuring action items are completed on time, performing competitive assessments, implementing process improvements, and facilitating communication to the leadership team. Responsible for: + Support Functional leader in the organization and running of the business (staff meetings, special assignments, etc.) + Develop and maintain multi-year Business strategy + Manage the portfolio/business planning process + Summarize the project business cases (deliverables, benefits, timing) + Assess execution of Business/Functional initiatives versus the Business/Functional plan + Define the Business/Functional competitive assessment process + Interpret complex quantitative and qualitative data and recommend solutions to unusual problems + Manages budgets + Identify and quantify cost reduction opportunities (working with other teams) + Analyze and report out on key operating metrics for the group + Handle a variety of special assignments + Develop and conduct presentations for all levels of management + Identify and implement process improvements for business management + Assess training needs for the group **Additional Job Description** **Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)**   + Bachelor of Science in Engineering  + 5 years of professional engineering experience + Experience managing a team + Highly proficient communication and interpersonal skills  + Ability to build relationships with local and global team members and business partners  + Ability to manage multiple complex/ambiguous projects and resolve issues with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results.  + Strong decision-making skills **What Will Give You** **A** **Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)** +  Master’s degree  **Relocation** + This job may be eligible for relocation benefits GM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE.
