This position is remote and can live anywhere in the United States.

Travel - 25% travel as needed.


I.  Job Summary

Responsible for accelerating the rate of change across the enterprise by leading and/or working on cross functional teams to drive economic and operational efficiency through innovation, agility, scalability and reliability to existing processes or new business ideas.

Key areas of responsibility for this position include working on projects across their lifecycle from pre-launch, to launch, to post project closure with specific emphasis on business case analysis, process management, and providing business analytics.

 

II.  Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other ancillary duties may be assigned.  

Manages small and medium projects over long periods of time and across multiple disciplines. Develops new ideas and processes and, working with a director, manages processes/timelines to drive improved business operation; reports against economic and process improvement Implements and maintains effective operations improvement processes, consistent with the accomplishment of long-range objectives which will enhance effectiveness, while working closely with directors and other Area personnel Utilizes financial analysis and other tools to evaluate the effectiveness of current processes. Ensures process implementation and improvement through direct communication and solicitation of feedback

Change Manager:

Leads and facilitates organizational change initiatives, focusing on the human element to ensure smooth transitions and minimize resistance. Develop and implement strategies to help employees adopt new processes, technologies, or structures. This includes creating communication plans, training programs, and support systems to facilitate the transition

Supervision of up to five employees

IV.   Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

 A.  Education and Experience

 Education: Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) in Finance, Project Management, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant experience in the transportation, logistics or waste industry.

 Experience: Four years of prior work experience with a proven track record of continual business process improvement and innovation simultaneously meeting financial, operations and customer demands (in addition to education requirement). 

B.  Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

Project management certification preferred.

 V.   Work Environment and Essential Functions

Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc) most of the work day; Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 30 pounds rarely; Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc) rarely; Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements rarely; Normal setting for this job is: office setting. Travel to WM’s various Market Areas is required. Travel up to 25%.

The expected salary range for this position is $112,700 - $148,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
