You Are:
An experienced a Business Operations Manager – an Asset Management Domain Subject Matter Expert (SME) who can facilitate the BAU operations of a newly acquired Managed Service.
You will work closely on middle to back office operations to ensure minimum disruption and smooth running of operations to allow for exemplary BAU for the client.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, exceptional knowledge of operations, and a proven track record of managing work transitions.
The Opportunity:
- Lead and run the BAU Operations as part of the Managed Services – including trade operations, reconciliations, client reporting and data management
- Lead the transition of projects from the UK to India, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Develop and implement plans for operations including data and reporting, client reporting, and trade operations, assessing timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Collaborate with UK and India teams to understand and document existing processes.
- Train and mentor, the India-based team on new processes and best practices.
- Monitor the progress of the transition and address any issues or challenges that arise.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies during the transition.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and service quality
- Leverage experience in asset/wealth management operations to ensure best practices are followed.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are me with relevant client reporting
- Coordinate with project managers to align transition activities with overall project goals.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential transition issues.
- Ensure seamless knowledge transfer and documentation of processes during the transition phase.
- Oversee service take-on activities, ensuring new services are integrated smoothly into existing operations.
- Provide expertise in managing service take-ons, including planning, execution, and post-implementation support.
What you need:
- 10+ years of experience in financial services, with a focus on operations within the Asset Management space.
- Proven track record of managing work transitions or similar projects.
- Strong knowledge of the financial services industry and relevant domain expertise.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive mindset, able to manage uncertainty and anticipate problems.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field; Master's preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using Excel or similar tools.
